Nothing says the holidays like baked goods. I love to host parties, especially around the holidays, and I’m all for bringing a dish when I’m invited – but I don’t love to cook. I should have titled this post Holiday Pies for the Gal Who Hates to Bake, but that doesn’t sound very positive. So this is holiday pies for the busy gal, the kind you don’t have to bake at all.
Holiday Pies for the Busy Gal
The first time I tried an Edwards Desserts Pie was at a party. The pie wasn’t in its packaging, but at one bite, I had to have the recipe (or just had to know where the pie was from). That’s when I learned that girlfriend didn’t spend any time in the kitchen over that pie, she picked it up for around $6.00 in the freezer section at her local grocery store. I passed by these lovely pies, on my way to the ice cream, many times over the years, but had never tried them. It was apparent to me at that party, that I had been missing out. These pies are delicious, and a new Edwards fan was born! They’re also pretty darn beautiful, making them perfect to serve during the holidays.
Edwards Frozen Pies
Edwards whole portion and single portion, thaw-and-serve pies, come in several varieties, but I personally have only tried three: Edwards Hershey’s Chocolate Crème Pie, Edwards Turtle Pie, and Edwards Key Lime Pie. All equally delicious, my favorites I featured in this post.
Edwards Hershey’s Chocolate Crème Pie
Tastes like heaven on a plate. Made with a fresh baked cookie-crumb-crust and creamy layers of chocolate and vanilla crème topped with chocolate pieces, chocolate drizzle, and whipped crème. This pie is my all-time favorite! Like all of Edwards pies, you keep the pie frozen until the day you want to serve it. Then you just thaw and serve. Quick, easy, and your guests will love it!
Edwards Turtle Pie
Ok, I said the Hershey’s pie was my favorite, but does a girl need to pick? This pie is equally as delicious and perfect for chocolate lovers. Also baked with a fresh cookie-crumb-crust and filled with velvety smooth caramel, topped with chocolate, pecans, and whipped crème. I’m a big fan of caramel!
In between all of the cooking, cleaning and entertaining you’ll be doing this holiday season – make life easy and let Edwards take care of dessert. If you get the time, enjoy a pie-party for one, I won’t tell anyone.
