My favorite type of leggings for work are thick ponte leggings. They have the comfort of traditional cotton leggings, but enough weight to them to add a little polish and be professional. Ponte leggings still have a slim fit, so I personally think the key to making them work-appropriate is wearing a long (bottom covering) jacket or top. Here are four ways I would wear a pair of comfortable leggings to work.

With a Sweater Vest
I love how this sweater vest is a little longer in the back than it is in the front, and it has a nice slit on the side to keep it from looking way too heavy around your hips. This is definitely one you’ll want to wear with a layer underneath because the armholes are large. The exact color I’m wearing is sold out, but there is an option in black.

With a Blazer
This blazer is comfortable enough to wear casually but structured enough to look polished. I think the fit is a perfect modern fit and the neutral colors in the plaid work well with many different outfits. I just may make a post dedicated to it next week.

With a Cardigan
I styled this outfit with a light t-shirt under the cardigan, but I think after looking at this picture it would be more polished with a slim-fit crewneck sweater or button-down. The cardigan is thick and well made, and is really more of a “coatigan” I’m wearing it in XXS and it has a little bit of room on me and I cuff the sleeves.

With an Oversized Button-Down
The last outfit is definitely a little more relaxed but it’s one of my favorite ways to wear leggings to work with our current temps (not yet cool enough for sweaters).
