Linen is a laid-back summer staple I pull out of my closet year after year. I love linen on just about anything (dresses, shorts, blazers, pants) but I especially love layering with a simple linen button-down. White is an easy choice, but today I’m styling a light blue option from Quince.

Four Ways to Wear a Linen Top
My Sizing: I’m 4’10” and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″ and 36″. My typical inseam is 24-25″. The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online.
With Linen Shorts
This linen on linen outfit gives a coastal granddaughter vibe – if you’re into using trendy buzzwords. I love the slightly oversized fit of this top. It makes for an on-trend look, that can also double as a swimsuit coverup (more on that below). The shorts are a pair I’ve sung the praises of in a previous post. They’re truly not see-through, well-lined, and comfortable as can be. In the reel, I added these sunglasses from J.Crew.

With Denim Shorts
Open up that button-down top for a relaxed look with denim shorts. These shorts are still my all-time favorite from last summer, I wear them over and over again (they’re true to size). I bought a pair of kids’ sandals from Target on a whim and have been wearing them way more than I thought I would. They’re surprisingly comfortable and walkable and not as wide as Birkenstocks which are too wide for my feet.

With Linen Pants
Back to that linen on linen look – this time with a pair of relaxed linen pants. Also along the lines of coastal granddaughter, I would wear this outfit for a relaxed evening at the beach. My pants are no longer available in the color I’m wearing, so you may like this pair from Amazon as another option.

Over a Swimsuit
