Madewell Summer Favorites

Madewell is my go-to for great denim and classic styles. I especially love their well-made shoes and bags that last through multiple seasons. Since their price point is on the high side, I love when I can share a few favorites during one of their sales. So, today I’m sharing a few longtime loves (you won’t regret adding these to your closet), and a few new finds for summer I think you’ll love too. My Sizing: I’m 4’10” and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″ and 36″. My typical inseam is 24-25″. The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online.

Flare Jeans

To some, I may sound like a broken record, but if you’re new to my blog – Madewell denim is my all-time favorite. These Perfect Vintage Flare Jeans are made from comfortable rigid denim in a summer-ready light wash. At my height, the length works great with a low 1-2″ heel and they have a 10″ rise. They’re a little bit roomy on me in my true size, but I think a size down would make them too tight and uncomfortable. I’m wearing the top in XXS. It has functional buttons all the way down and is stretchy and comfortable. The cropped length meets a pair of high-rise bottoms on my height. The buttons gape with this one, so you may want to go up a size. The heels I’m wearing are one of those long-time loves I mentioned. I love the simple two-strap style and the walkable block heel. They’re comfortable for all-day wear and go with just about everything.

Fatigue Shorts

There’s so much to love about these shorts. They’re comfortable, roomy in the thighs, not too short or too long and they come in multiple colors. They run large, so definitely go down a size for a perfect fit. I grabbed them in red “salvaged barn” and olive “palm tree”. The white top has an oversized fit (I’m wearing it in xxs). I have rolled the sleeves, unrolled they come to my elbow. The sandals are new to me, but I have a feeling they will become a pair I wear regularly as well. I find them to be true to size.

Patch Pocket Shorts

I’ve been looking for denim shorts that aren’t distressed and was excited to find this pair at Madewell. I suggest going up a size for the most comfortable fit. The white pair isn’t see-through) and I love the pockets on the front and the back. They also come in denim. The sandals have been on my blog heavily over the last year. They’re probably my most worn pair of sandals and I can’t recommend them enough! They’re true to size.
