It’s fairly easy to find maxi-length dresses when you’re petite if you look for a dress that’s meant to be midi-length, chances are it will be maxi on you. The challenge comes in finding a midi-length dress, that’s actually midi-length (hits in the middle of your calves)! Today, I have four options for my petite friends if you’re looking for a dress with a true midi-length. Also, if you’re not petite, these dresses all come in regular sizing as well!
Petite-Friendly Midi Dresses
Striped Midi Dress
I don’t care for fashion rules because they’re always changing. I used to think that midi-length only worked with heels, but I’ve since changed my thoughts on that. For this first dress, I’m showing it with heels and with flat sandals, both look great in my opinion. The dress itself is really comfortable, and the straps are wide enough to wear a regular bra with it as well. I’m wearing it in Petite XXS and it runs true to size.

Sweater Dress
This dress is knit, but before you run from it, the knit is lightweight and soft. It’s form-fitted so you may want to wear shapewear with it. At the very least, you’re going to need nude undergarments. This dress is not petite but fits me well in XS. It’s 20% off with my code PUMPS20.

Comfortable Dress
If you’re looking for comfort, look no further! This dress is light and stretchy. I’m wearing it with wedges here but you can also wear it with sneakers or sandals and a denim jacket. It’s a little bit thin, so you’ll need undergarments that are seamless, or you may want to wear a slip with it.

Puff Sleeve Dress
This puff sleeve dress is surprisingly light and comfortable. The lining comes to the knee instead of all the way down. I’m wearing it in Petite XS (I tend to size up at Abercrombie) and the dress comes in other color options.
