Mom jeans continue to be a top seller on the blog! They’re hard to come by for petites, like most things, but I found that this pair from AE really does the trick. They’re a great length and the overall fit isn’t crazy oversized.
I originally styled these jeans in the summer and think they wear beautifully into the fall as well.
I recommend going down one size in these jeans. They will be tight at first, but they loosen with wear, big time, especially in the front rise area.
With Sneakers
Casual and comfortable as it gets. I love the wash of this denim and think the mom jeans style gives this basic sweatshirt and jeans outfit a little something extra over skinny jeans.

Layered Up
Whether you’re layering a turtleneck or a basic tee, the layered look is great with mom jeans. I love the tissue turtlenecks from J.Crew. You can wear the neck folded over for a classic, polished look, or leave them straight, like I did here for a more relaxed look.

With a Cozy Sweater
This is another really simple, and really comfortable outfit for fall and winter. I like the combination of my booties with these jeans. I have a few other pairs of booties that aren’t quite the right rise for them. This pair shows a little ankle and I think that helps the combination not look too heavy.

Add a Scarf!
This is really the same outfit as above, cute sweater, mom jeans, booties – but I added a scarf for a little festive touch! You can wrap your scarf around your neck here or leave it just around your shoulders like I did. It looks really cute under the J.Crew City Coat!

Our winters tend to be mild, so I could totally see wearing these outfits into the winter. However, I know that’s not the case for many of you and the open knees and exposed ankles aren’t ideal. I’m working on building style sessions with lots of warm and cozy outfits for cooler climates in the coming month, so stayed tuned for that!
