To wrap up the year I brainstormed a few series of posts. I thought about a series on the top selling items from 2024, a series on the most requested topics, and then landed on a series of posts with my personal most worn items. I’m often asked when I round-up ideas for petites, which ones are my top picks and this series will answer just that!
When it comes to writing up reviews and creating posts, I’m work off of a blend of things when I choose the items. I take into account reader requests first and foremost, varying price ranges, stock levels, and of course what I personally like. I like and recommend everything I share, I wouldn’t share it if I didn’t, but we all have our favorites. This series will highlight the casual and activewear pieces I reach for the most for the cold weather season of winter.

2024 Most Worn Winter Favorites: Casual Pt. 1
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
When I post denim guides, I post a range of styles and prices to help as many petites as I can find a pair that works for them, but I’m often asked which one is my favorite. It can be a hard question to answer because there are so many good ones and I’m sure you can tell by most posts, I have a closet or two full of petite-friendly jeans. My favorite pair often varies with seasons and the kind of shoes I want to wear at the time, but lately the pair I’ve been wearing the most is a pair of High-Rise Straight Jeans from Quince.

Quince High-Rise Straight Jeans
This pair is my favorite for a few reasons. First, they’re really stretchy and comfortable. They don’t feel constricting on my stomach at all and they don’t bag out with wear. I personally love high-rise jeans, a 10″ rise is my preference, so this pair has a perfect rise for me. The 26″ inseam and slim, but wide enough leg opening is perfect with boots! Even with chunky chelsea boots.
J.Crew Stevie Boots
If I really reflect on the boots I wear the most with my jeans, it’s a tie between the Dimes boots from Madewell and the Stevie boots from J.Crew. The Dimes boots happen to be mostly sold out, so I went for the Stevie boots for the post. I love these boots because of the slim pointed toe and low kitten heel. They’re comfortable enough for all day wear and give a dressed up casual look I love.
J.Crew Cropped Cable Knit Sweater
This sweater is low in stock, but I had to include it as it’s been my most worn sweater lately. I love the length of this sweater. It’s a perfect crop that looks great with high-rise jeans and skirts and doesn’t need to be tucked in. I’ve been washing it on delicate cycle and laying it flat to dry and it washes beautifully.
Banana Republic Factory Timeless Topcoat
I have quite the collection of coats and it was hard for me to pick a favorite because I really love them all. So, I just had to reflect on which one I grab the most and the Timeless Topcoat has been it lately. It kind of surprised me when I put some thought into it. I’ve shared many times that my love runs deep for J.Crew coats and I wear mine often, but this coat tends to be one I grab the most often because it’s the thickest, softest, and roomiest – so it’s the most comfortable. Since it’s a little more relaxed I wear it with just about everything from jeans to activewear. To be fair, I don’t wear this coat leaps and bounds over my other coats. I wear my other coats from J.Crew almost equally.
Amazon Boot Socks
I recently grabbed a pack of these boot socks from Amazon and LOVE them! They’re a little bit big at first (I wear a size 5) but they shrink in the wash and are a perfect fit for me now. They’re warm and cozy and I wear them with my Stevie boots as well as my UGG mini boots.
