Mr. Pants and #BRIGHTMIND

Way back in the day (ten years ago) when Mr. Pants was just a puppy, I used to ask my mom to ‘babysit’ him when I was away. He was my only baby at the time, and I treated him just so. I spent my time away worrying about my furry little one, who at the time was just tiny little puppy. When we returned back home, I found him, in a corner, whimpering with a belly the size of a watermelon. I immediately turned to mom…”what happened to my baby?!” She proceeded to tell me she dropped a baked potato on the floor and let him eat it…the whole thing.

I spent the rest of that night anxiously watching my puppy groan over his balloon belly, wondering if he would ever be the same size again. By morning, he was back to normal and all was well again! Now, it’s just a funny story, about the one time Mr. Pan ate a potato that was the size of him and almost exploded.

Mr. Pants didn’t score any table scraps after that, of course until we had children. Now, he happily waits under high chairs and dinner tables for the food that the babies throw overboard. He once had the ultimate score, when our three-year-old dumped an entire box of lucky charms on the floor. Oh the happy dog life.

All, joking aside, what we put in Mr. Pant’s bowl lately has really made a huge difference for him! I mentioned back in December, that we started Pants on a new dry food, Purina Pro Plan® BRIGHT MIND Adult 7+®. At the time he had been on the food for about a month and I was seeing a lot of improvement in his behavior! He was less anxious and was back to interacting with us, after starting to become a little bit of a old man worry wart.

We continued to feed Mr. Pants BRIGHT MIND and have continued to see so many favorable improvements in his activity and behavior! He continues to be less anxious and more interested in playing and running with me!

I think the biggest and most important improvement for Mr. Pants has been in his mobility. He is back to doing the ‘pants dance’ when I walk in the door. I didn’t realize how much I missed all of the excitement when he greeted me, until he didn’t do it anymore. I really love that he is back to his bouncy little self!

We are so impressed that the little change in his food has made such an improvement in his life. While I don’t recommend feeding your puppy an entire baked potato, I would recommend BRIGHT MIND to anyone with a senior dog!

Omg a whole potato, that had to be awful! Finding the right food for your pup is so important. Bean is allergic to everything, so it’s a challenge.

    Such cute pictures!
