First, let me admit these pictures were taken a few weeks ago, when my bump was less visible, face was a little less round and I still fit into my navy dress. I actually purchased this dress at the beginning of the pregnancy thinking oh this will last a while, well, not really. Pretty polka dots has already tightened up and hiked up over the growing bump, so until next time dress, until next time.
Seriously though, all talk of dresses aside, let’s talk about what I’m really thinking about all the time, food. Yes, I have all the proper training, I know how to lead a healthy lifestyle and make the right choices, but I believe in moderation and sometimes partake in cake for breakfast or a chicken philly sub with fries.
I went into this pregnancy with the mindset that I was going to be oh so healthy, drink tons of water, keep up with my workouts and be the most fit mom ever. Haha. Let’s just say a few months in, the promises have been thrown out the window. I am not the pregnant gal craving fruit this time around, although I still force down fruits and veggies daily, what I’m really screaming for is Taco Bell and fresh baked cookies. I’ve managed 2-3 workouts a week through the entire pregnancy so far and all weight gain is still on track, but my days revolve around the constant struggle of what I should eat, vs. what I really want to eat. Don’t get me started on the impending candy rush that is about to happen in about a week. You see, October is the one month that I have candy in my house, call it a ritual, but every October, I buy one maybe two bags of candy and hubby and I shamefully consume way too much sugar in celebration of the kickoff to the holiday season, funny fact is, we don’t even get trick-or-treaters at our house. My pregnant self is already giddy with excitement over this excuse to partake in candy.
I’m doing my best to let the what I should eat win more than that what I want to eat, but the struggle is real for this momma to be. So, sorry navy polka dot dress, it was fun while it lasted, but the bean burritos won this time around.

I went into my pregnancy thinking the same thing. The reality is though the first trimester vegetables sounded horrible – along with some of the healthy foods I’d eat on a daily basis. I’m not sure how far along you are, but I’m in my 2nd trimester now and things are going back to normal. Not that I don’t have pizza cravings on a daily basis. Just listen to your body – your baby knows what he/she wants 🙂
Absolutely loving this! I feel like that dress could easily conceal a baby bump! And I give you props for still managing to get 2-3 workouts in a week! I feel like I would be lazy and lounge around using my pregnancy as an excuse to not have to workout haha!

Love you style dear! Absolutely adorable! And as October rolls in tomorrow, you are so right, the struggle is real! It’s candy corn season! I’m extremely passionate about clean eating and I typically do not partake in sugar… but tis the season for candy corn. So hard to resist, and I’m not even pregnant! 🙂 Enjoy your candy!
What an adorable dress, so perfect with the orange heels! You look amazing! I know it is so hard to curb those pregnancy cravings. All I wanted was salty snacks…not good. Have a great week!

You are so cute! I’m not pregnant, nor have ever been, but I share your food choice struggle. Why does food that’s not so good for you taste so darn good?! You look adorable in this dress and the heels go great with it!

You look gorgeous in this dress and don’t worry about gaining weight. You will go back to your weight after your little one will be out.
This post reminded me my pregnancy feelings, 4 years ago, the same What-I-should-eat & What-I-want-to-eat battle. LoL. Take care
