Soft, neutral spring outfits for work! I mixed smart casual and business casual for this round of work outfits. I try to give broad examples when it comes to creating outfits for work and style based on readers’ requests. I know not every outfit will be spot on for every person, so if you ever need help swapping something in an outfit to fit your dress code, feel free to message me – I may have a recommendation for you.

Soft Neutral Outfits for Work
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Side Zip Pants
I have been singing the praises of Ann Taylor’s Ankle Side Zip Pants for months and finally tried the full-length trouser style. The trousers have the same silky lining, so they’re flattering, comfortable, and not see-through. I find them to be a little bit long on me, even with a typical pair of pumps, and a little roomy through the waist. They aren’t large enough for me to recommend a size down, but if you have experience with the ankle style, this style fits a little larger.

Pleated Skirt
The pleated skirt from Amazon is back on the blog! I’ll keep sharing this skirt as long as it remains in stock. I have it in multiple colors and stand behind the quality and fit. I’m wearing it here in a size small, and the color is “brown.” The skirt is lined and washes well (I hang mine to dry). Unfortunately, my exact blazer is from J.Crew Factory but has sold out, so I have linked a similar option.

Side Zip Ankle Pants
Speaking of the side zip ankle pants, here they are! I find them to fit true to size and love the silky lining. I paired them with a notch collar blazer from Gibsonlook. The blazer doesn’t come in petite, but it fits well overall. It is a stretchy blazer, so it’s comfortable and a little casual. I’m wearing it here in XXS. You can take 10% off with my code BROOKE10 at Gibsonlook.

Wide-Leg Jeans
White jeans are a great option for work (of course, if your dress code allows). I chose a cropped wide-leg style for the outfit, but any style will do. If you’re looking for a slim straight, you may like this pair, or a full-length mid-rise straight, and if you like a cropped flare, you may like this pair. I paired them with the Schoolboy Blazer from J.Crew Factory. I’ve had this blazer, I believe, for ten years now! It’s a classic style and has a great petite fit overall.
