Today’s post features a print I’m loving lately, buffalo check. Earlier this year, I was lucky enough to score this beautiful print in a maternity top from Old Navy, who has been totally on point this season!! Seriously, my fall closet brought to you courtesy of, Old Navy. The moment I spotted this top, I knew I needed it! Whenever I wear it, it’s compliments all around, which makes this preggie mama feel awesome! It’s hard not to compliment buffalo check, (I mean when it’s not worn in the lumbar jack sense) it is such a classic and rich combination. I would love to also add a little buffalo check to my scarf collection and maybe to a cozy blanket for my living room’s holiday decor.
However, although Old Navy has been rocking it lately, we’re not all on point. Who’s off? Me!! Pregnancy brain is the real deal, I’m telling you. I’m typically super organized, on top of things and not very forgetful. Pregnant, on the other hand, I’m forgetful, a little loopy and well still pretty organized. I blame the urge to nest on the fact that I’m still very organized. In fact, I’m more organized now than I was before, so that’s actually a plus. However, if I don’t write down calls I get at work or steps I take through the day, I forget! My hubby is currently pretty disappointed in the fact that I forget something at the grocery store every trip I take, resulting in multiple trips each week. I’ve also forgotten my last step in my make-up process, mascara, on several occasions and have left the house many days without snacks, wipes or a change of clothes for Maddox. The forgetful list grows daily.
What did I forget for this post, do you see it? My top button!! Of course, it’s not a huge deal, not like leaving your pants undone or forgetting underwear, but when I brought these pictures home to edit I just let out a big “oh man, my top button!” Pregnancy brain at it’s finest.
