Olive Pants Three Ways

After I posted this casual outfits for work post, I received a request to see the olive pants in that post styled a few different ways. So I happily obliged. If you missed the first post on the pants, they are a great length (27.5″ inseam) in petite that works well with flats. I’m wearing them in my true size, but they are the kind of material that stretches out quite a bit with wear and they are already roomy through the waist, so I would size down for the best fit if that is an option for you.

My Sizing: I’m 4’10” and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″ and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement of the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online.

With Sneakers

Any slim-profile sneaker will work well with these pants (basically anything that isn’t a chunky trainer style). I paired them with a lady sweater layered with a trench coat for an elevated casual look.

With a Sweater

While I’ll hold strong to the front tuck as much as I will my side part (that is already back of course) I am embracing the untucked and relaxed look. I find this look works best on my frame with a shorter sweater or top that is also a little bit roomy. This particular sweater is both cropped and has a slit at the side that gives it a swing style, making it perfect for wearing untucked. I went with a low kitten-heel pair of boots to match the relaxed style of the pants.

With a Denim Jacket

I don’t care what anyone says, a classic-fit denim jacket doesn’t go out of style. You can wear that style with this outfit, but I chose a slightly longer and oversized option just to show some variety. This jacket has a tie option as well. I’m wearing it in Petite XS and it fits me well through the shoulders and arms, with an overall roomy fit. The jacket also has pockets on the sides.

I went with winter looks, but these pants will also work well into the spring with sandals You might find some inspiration from this older post with a similar style of pants!
