Our Summer Of Adventure With Our Little Movers & Oh, Hey Girl! Link-Up

Summer always brings back memories. Memories of tangled hair and bare feet running through bright green grass. Of swimming pools and river fronts just waiting to be splashed in. Of ice cream cones when calories didn’t count and of filling a jar full of fire flies way past bed time.

Summer as a kid was magical. Of course, you grow up and the magic fades. That is, until you have a little one of your own. This time around, you’re the one who get’s to show your little movers just how fun something as small as watching a butterfly can be. The smiles are contagious and just for a minute you’ll forget that you’re all grown up, you’ll be that kid again, right alongside them.

Summer of Adventure -- Huggies Little Movers

Since it’s easy to get caught up in daily life, we’ve made a list of everything we want to experience this summer with our little ones. Our kids are all still under the age of 5, with two of them still in diapers, so our list is catered to a younger crowd!

Summer of Adventure

This summer we will:

1. Visit a bunch of butterflies
2. Pick a strawberry or two
3. Go for a hike
4. Play a game of tag at dusk
5. Have an ice cream date
6. Swim in the river
7. Splash at the park
8. Read — a lot of fun books!
9. Make something new
10. Tell campfire stories
11. Make s’mores
12. Go to vacation bible school
13. Play a little t-ball
14. Learn something new (like riding a bike without training wheels)
15. Spend time with our friends!
16. Visit the library
…and so much more.

    I’m 53 and I still think summer is the most magical time of year. A couple of weekends my husband and I took a walk to the corner store for an ice cream cone and as we were walking home I said “I love summer! Eating outside, warm weather, ice cream…it’s just the best time of year!”

    Aww look at your little cuties, they are precious! As someone who works full time year round, summer did lose a bit of magic as an adult. But I totally agree that having a little one makes it more magical again, we’re having a good time this summer doing things we wouldn’t normally do the rest of the year.     After reading the blog and going through the pictures, I felt as if I am reliving my beautiful childhood. Also, a thought rattled in my mind if these activities were planned at that time too, it would have been
    great fun. Over all, I loved the idea of having an ice cream date and splash at the park Wearing Huggies diapers would let the kids feel comfortable, and relieve mom of tension of changing panties every now and then.
