Outfits for Teachers with Jeans
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
For this post, I went with two options for jeans. First, a dark wash straight pair that’s clean without any distressing. They’re a Slim Straight style from J.Crew. They have a 9″ mid-rise and a 25″ inseam in petite. They have comfortable stretch and don’t bag out with wear. I highly recommend them!
I also included a black pair of jeans. The pair I chose is a mid-rise cropped flare from J.Crew Factory. They have a 9.5″ rise and a 24.5″ inseam. They’re stretchy and comfortable and true to size overall.
Jeans + Top
We all know the “jeans and a nice top” outfit combination. It’s actually something I was specifically asked for numerous times in my requests for outfits for teachers. It’s a combination that’s simple and easy to wear. It doesn’t take a lot of thought and always looks nice and put together. This top from J.Crew Factory is fully lined and fits well overall. I’m wearing it in XXS for reference.

Jeans + Button Down
Jeans with a button-down top is another classic and easy combination. This button-down top has a closer fit than the relaxed style I wore in this post. It comes in petite sizing, so the sleeves are a perfect length and fit well through the shoulders. I love it worn on its own, but if you need a little extra warmth in the classroom, I think it looks great worn under the sweater blazer from Quince!

Jeans + Sweater Vest
This sweater shell is a light layer you can wear from the beginning of the school year into the fall. It looks great worn on its own or under blazers. If you prefer, you can wear it as a set with a matching cardigan. I’m wearing it in XXS.

Jeans + Sneakers
I’m planning a post dedicated to outfits with sneakers, but I snuck one in here. This cropped denim shirt is a nice update to the classic denim top we all love. This top has a wide and boxy fit with generous sleeves. I cuffed them to cut down on some of the volume.
