In my last post with outfits for work with boots I used the fall capsule pieces to create four different outfits with black pants. I mentioned in that post that I like pairing boots with full-length pants rather than ankle styles. It makes for a seamless look but it also keeps you warmer. In that post I used black pants and boots, so for this post I used a few capsule wardrobe tops and paired them with taupe pants instead. The boots and pants happen to be a perfect match which gives a leg lengthening effect, but your boots definitely don’t need to match your pants. These boots are light and neutral so they can be worn with any color. Unfortunately my exact boots have sold out, but I’m linking the same pair in a similar color.

Outfits for Work with Boots
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Abercrombie Harper Pants
I’ll be working on more posts with a variety of pants, but I chose the same pants and boots for each outfit in this post like I did for the first post. In this post I went with Abercrombie Harper pants. The pants are a wide-leg style with a pleated front. They are true to size overall with stretch on the waistband in the back. I’m wearing them in short in the post and I need a low heel with them (they have a 28″ inseam). Keep in mind 28″ inseam trousers fit differently than 28″ inseam jeans because the crotch seam sits lower.
With Black
I love black paired with taupe. You could go with black boots here as well!

With Burgundy
The burgundy cashmere sweater from my fall capsule is a perfect color pairing with these taupe pants. I added a burgundy coat from Ann Taylor for a cold day. The coat is an overall good fit. For petite sizing, the sleeves are a tiny bit long, but it’s overall true to size. The coat is fully lined.

With Camel

In the Reel I added a cream coat on top of this outfit. The coat is from Banana Republic Factory and is a great petite fit. It’s thick and warm and is under $150. It also comes in burgundy, camel, and black!
