Outfits for Work with Flats
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
With a Skirt
If you can wear above-the-knee skirts and dresses at work, this mini skirt is a great option. It’s true to size but not tight, so it’s comfortable to wear all day. Plus, this is one that you can easily pair with boots and even tights as it starts to cool down. I paired it with a cropped sweater that isn’t petite but has a perfect fit through the sleeves! I love the length of this sweater; it’s cropped enough that you don’t need to tuck it in at all. I’m wearing the sweater in XXS for reference.

With Corduroy Pants
From the comments I get, I know some people still feel some way about wearing white after Labor Day, and that’s okay! But if you want to break that old rule, a way to make white bottoms more fall-appropriate is with color and texture. Instead of crisp white, go for cream or ivory. Heavier fabrics like corduroy are also always fall-appropriate. It also matters what you pair with your light bottoms. Choose rich fall and winter colors instead of bright summer and spring colors. The pants fit true to size and are a full-length straight fit.

Burgundy Pants

Corduroy Dress
Corduroy is something I often think about when I think about fall—especially a corduroy dress! I don’t know why, but J.Crew Factory didn’t put out a petite option for this dress (sad)! I decided to try it anyway because reviewers said it ran small. It’s a good enough fit in regular sizing—a little roomy, but it still works. I would still recommend your true size. For me, the dress was a close fit through my hips but roomy through the top.
