Outfits for Work with Jeans

My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.

Quince Bella Straight Jeans

In this post I went with one of my go-to pair of jeans for work outfits, the Bella Straight from Quince. These jeans are stretchy, they don’t bag out with a lot of sitting, and they have a dark clean wash. They don’t come in petite, but inseam options. For size reference I wear these jeans in my true size (24) in the 26″ inseam option.

Work Outfits with Jeans

I kept these outfits simple. I find from reader feedback, simple is often what most of you are looking for. I also opted for layers with the outfits because that has also been a big request for summer workwear. Under each layer there is a short sleeve or sleeveless top you can wear outdoors in the summer heat, but I also added a light layer for the office air conditioning. You may see many of these items in my upcoming summer workwear capsule as well!

Short Sleeve Cardigan

I found this cardigan at Walmart! It’s from their Free Assembly line, so overall, it’s well made. Most of the items from Walmart run large, but I found this cardigan fits me overall in XS. It’s lightweight, perfect for summer heat. You can layer it over a tank top or camisole or wear it on its own.

Matching Set

There isn’t anything groundbreaking about a matching set, but it’s a classic you can always lean on. I love the look of a cardigan and matching sweater shell and I love it’s layering possiblities. You can wear it like I have it here, wear the shell on its own, or tie the cardigan over the shoulders.

Linen Top

A linen button-down is lightweight and polished. This option from J.Crew comes in petite sizing and it well fitted. If you want a little extra room, I would go up a size, or opt for regular sizing instead. I think this soft flax color is a great neautral, but it also comes in a few other colors.

Organic Cotton Cardigan

In the last outfit I layered a simple boatneck t-shirt with a cardigan. The t-shirt looks great on its own, but I added the cardigan as an option if it’s cold in your office. This cardigan is thick and warm and is one of my personal favorites. This is a long version, but it also comes in a cropped style.
