I met my husband when I was 17. He was shy, tall and awkward, just how I like them. I on the other hand, was not shy about my intentions to make him my boyfriend. It’s usually the other way around, the guy chasing the girl, but I scoped out the sandwich shop he worked at, ordered a wrap and stared him down from across the room. I was totally subtle. Shortly after, he was mine. Of course at the time, I didn’t know he was mine forever. In my 17-year-old heart, I sure hoped so, but who makes big plans like that as a teenager.
Two years later, we were married. Yes, at 19. Funny things happen when you get married at 19. Some people will pass along congratulations and others will ask if you’re crazy. We were crazy, about each other and here we are, ten years and two baby boys later, still so in love.
Happy anniversary my sweet Mr., thank you for making the journey of life one to be enjoyed.
