Petite-Friendly Coats: Part Two
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
J.Crew Savoy Topcoat
- True to size fit but it runs slim through the sleeves and waist when buttoned. You may want to size up to allow for layering and a little give in the arms.
- Warm, fully lined

- Comes in red, lavender, black, and camel
This coat has a slim and polished fit. I think it works well for workwear and dressed up outfits. The wool is a little bit rough to the touch but overall this is a beautiful coat. Last year I bought the very similar Mirabelle coat in red and it was perfect for the holidays!

J.Crew Toscana Coat
- True to size fit, enough room to layer underneath
- Warm, fully lined
- Wool blend
- Comes in olive, black, camel, ivory, and gray
The Toscana Coat comes in a short and long style. I’m wearing the short style here and love the fit. This coat is true to size, but has a roomy cocoon fit so you have plenty of room to layer underneath. It has a zipper closer and stand collar to block the wind. This coat is fully lined and has an interior pocket and two deep front pockets.

J.Crew Stowe Parka
- True to size fit, enough room to layer underneath
- Warm, fully lined
- Wool blend
- Comes in black and camel
The Stowe Parka has a straight fit with enough room to layer underneath. This coat has a removable hood and corduroy collar. The coat has a zipper and button closure and is built for warmth. It only comes in two color options but I think it makes a great casual option. It reminds me of the loved Chateau Parka from previous seasons. This coat has a straight fit and is slightly longer when you compare it to the the Chateau Parka’s belled out mid-thigh length.
