For part two of my petite-friendly shorts series I’m focusing on casual shorts I love to wear. I chose a mix of pull-on and denim shorts styles.

Petite-Friendly Shorts: Casual
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Abercrombie Linen Shorts
When it comes to a pull-on pair of shorts, I find that Abercrombie has the best fit all around. Their pull-on linen blend shorts are lined and come in several color options. In XXS, they’re a perfect fit for me.

J.Crew Linen Shorts
J.Crew also makes a great pair of pull-on shorts, but if we’re comparing the two, I like the fit of the Abercrombie shorts more. The J.Crew shorts run large, but if you go down a size, they fit well. I love the light neutral colors J.Crew offers and matching tops. These shorts are unlined, but not see through.

J.Crew Denim Shorts
These shorts are my personal favorite, running on three years now. They have a high rise and a 4″ inseam. They’re comfortable through the waist and the denim has a little bit of stretch – while still giving the vintage cotton denim look. The raw hem threads with washing and wearing. I find them to be true to size.

Madewell Emmett Shorts
I love having at least one pair of white shorts for spring and summer. This pair from Madewell has a high rise and is roomy though the thighs. They have light stretch and aren’t one bit see through. I find them to be true to size overall.
