I’ve been receiving requests for wedding guest dresses for months now, but it’s been a topic I struggle to actually bring to the blog. Since my blog is about fit, and almost all petite options are only sold online, I love to have personal experience with every item I suggest, so I can help give the best review for you. However, when it comes to wedding guest dresses, dress codes vary, and I personally don’t have a single wedding to attend this year so actually buying and trying on formal dresses didn’t feel quite right to me. So, this will probably be one of the very few posts on my blog where my suggestions aren’t backed by personal experience. Instead, I’m going to share brands I’ve ordered from in the past as well as resources and options that will hopefully help you find a petite dress to fit your event!
Where to Find Petite Wedding Guest Dresses

Lulus
Lulus doesn’t carry Petites, but their dresses often run small. Some of the styles even start at XXS. I don’t think you’re going to snag a full-length dress that is a great length from the store, but you may find one that fits up top and just needs a quick inexpensive hem. The prices are also modest at Lulu’s.
I recommended a few dresses from Lulus last year in this Wedding Guest post.

Express
Express does carry Petites, but I find that the petite sizes sell out almost immediately after an item is launched, so it’s limited. Their regular sizing starts at XXS, which is often small enough for me.

Anthropologie
If you’re looking for a unique piece, Anthropologie is a great place to check. They carry a nice selection of petite sizes with some brands starting at Petite XXS.

Reformation Petites
Reformation is a sustainable brand that I’ve been dreaming to try. Their items are expensive, and I haven’t yet taken a leap into trying anything, but if I had a wedding or special event to attend, I would try one of their petite dresses, they’re classic and elegant.

Nordstrom
Nordstrom has a few petite options, but not a ton. I’ve found Dress the Population to be a brand that fits me well overall, as well as French Connection.
