Petite-Friendly Joggers

When it’s cold out, leggings are my activewear of choice, but as soon as it starts to warm up – I’m reaching for my joggers. After years of feeling like I couldn’t find a pair that worked well for me, I’m finding more and more. Today I’m sharing two options, one that is a longtime favorite of mine, and one that is new to me.

My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.

Crosstrain Pants

The Crosstrain Pants from Athleta are a jogger style with a cinched ankle. They’re overall true to size, I wear them in petite xxs for reference. These pants are lightweight so you could wear them indoors now for a workout, but the weather needs to warm up just a bit to be worn outdoors. They’re like the old school “swishy pants” but aren’t swishy. The leg is slim, but not as slim as the Venice Joggers (if you’ve tried that style to compare). I love the zippered pockets and like that both the ankle and the drawstring waist are unique. They can be worn casually but they’re quick drying and great for workouts as well.

Venice Joggers

My all-time favorite joggers are the Venice Joggers. I hope Athleta never stops making these. The Venice Joggers have a slim fit that is flattering without being too tight. The fabric is slightly stretchy all over and they have a smooth leggings like waistband. They’re true to size, I wear them in petite xxs. If you’re comparing them to the Crosstrain Pants, they’re a little bit shorter and slimmer. They’re also thick enough to wear now, but not too thick for wearing into the spring and summer.
