Although it’s challenging to find knee-high boots that are petite friendly, most years I can find at least a few options that work well for my petite friends. This year, however, has been challenging. I have bought and returned more boots than I can count – even styles I saw on other petite bloggers. I did manage to find three options that I feel are truly great options for petites.

Knee-High Boots Three Ways
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Steve Madden Astoria Boots
The first pair I found is a slim pointed toe style with a kitten heel that I’m going to style in this post. I also found a boot brand that offers petite boots that come in custom calf widths and I purchased a flat and low heeled option. I’ll be sharing more about them in my next post.
The Astoria Boots have a short 14.25″ shaft. On me, that height comes about 1-2″ under my knee cap. These boots are a stretch suede style with a very slim stretchy shaft. I think these will work well for slim and average calves, but unfortunately they may be too slim for a wide calf. To note the shaft height and circumference goes up as sizes go up. I find them to be true to size and the low 2″ heel is walkable and comfortable.
I think these boots are perfect for wearing with a skirt or dress because they fit so slim to the leg. They can also be worn under wide-leg pants since they’re slim. That’s a great way to wear them if you need a little extra warmth.
With a Dress
I chose a thick, warm dress from Quince for the first outfit. This dress has a slim tie at the waist, but I really wanted to add a belt to the look to bring some black to the top of the outfit. I tucked the tie that’s on the dress under the belt but honestly I considered cutting it off – I made no decisions, so you can see it under my belt. Other ways I could have also added a little black to the top is a black sweater over the shoulders, a white button-down on top and belted it or a black blazer.

With a Midi Skirt
It can be tricky to wear boots under a midi or maxi length skirt or dress when you’re petite. This pair has such a slim fit that it works! To be honest, this is the first pair of boots I’ve like the way this outfit pairing looks on me.

With an Above the Knee Dress
It’s easy to pair knee-high boots with an above the knee dress. I personally don’t love the contrast of bare legs with a dress and boots so I always opt for tights added when I wear this outfit combination. The exception to this for me is if the boots are close enough to my skin tone. I wanted to show another way to wear this sleeveless dress from Artizia so I added a black turtleneck underneath.
