If you’ve been curious about Spanx pants and whether or not they’re petite-friendly, this post is for you! I’ve tried a few different styles from Spanx and the fit has been mixed. I’m going to focus today on a pair of their Skinny Perfect Pants (that fit great) but I’ll also touch on a few of their other styles that I’ve tried.
Spanx Perfect Pants
Spanx Perfect Pants come in a few different styles, but I tried the skinny pair. They have a little bit of compression and, to me, are a blend of stretchy pants and thick leggings. They’re comfortable and true to size – the length is great for my 4’10” height in petite. They have a seam down the back that helps to elevate the style of the pants and make them a little less like leggings, but since they’re a snug fit, I prefer a longer top with them for wearing to work.

With a Long Blazer
I really love a modern long blazer. It’s great for balancing out wide shoulders and also adds the illusion of a little more height. In this case, a long blazer is great for pairing with Spanx Perfect Pants for coverage at the top. My blazer, in particular, is true to size in Petite 00 for me.

With a Long Cardigan
This outfit is really comfortable, almost like getting away with loungewear at work. The button-down top is sleeveless, so you can take it off when going outdoors and untucked it still balances the slim fit of the pants.

With a Peplum Top
A peplum top is another great way to add balance with Spanx Perfect Pants. I’ve shared this top in two other posts, one tucked in and another with a pair of white jeans. It’s a great top overall but needs to be pinned at the top to stay shut.

Other Spanx Petite-Friendly Pants
Leather Leggings: I love Spanx leather leggings. They also have the compression you expect from Spanx, but still, fit me well in my true size. Although they come in petite, I still have to cuff the length under, they’re a couple of inches too long on me. You can find them on sale at Nordstrom and also on the Spanx site.
Twill Cropped Wide-Leg: This pair is a little bit snug in my true size, but too big in the next size up. They stretch out with wear, so go with your true size. They’re a great length in XS. This style is part of the Nordstrom sale, but sadly only in regular sizing.
Kick Flare Pant: I’ve also tried Spanx Silver Lining white pants and they are truly not one bit see-through. They also have Spanx compression so they’re a little snug at first in my true size, but I wouldn’t recommend sizing up. I styled this pair in this post.
