When it comes to shoes I admit I have a slight crutch – and almost alwaysssss buy the nude/neutral color of the shoe I like. Despite the fact that I already have a closet full of shoes that color, I have a hard time buying something I know I can only wear a few ways – I want to wear it all the ways! So I go for the most neutral option over and over again – nude. My choice isn’t only due to versatility, it’s also because that color often looks the best on me and makes me look the “tallest” or maybe I should say, makes me look less short. So, today I’m rounding up a few of my favorite shoe styles for spring/summer, mine are all in nude, of course, but they come in other color options as well if you like to mix it up.

Spring Shoes – My Favorites
My Sizing: I’m 4’10” and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″ and 36″. My typical inseam is 24-25″. The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online.
Since we’re talking shoes – I’m typically a size five.
Ballet Flats
I have been loving on this neutral pair of ballet flats since the fall. They go with just about everything and although they don’t have a ton of support – they’re really comfortable! There is no rubbing anywhere and the leather is nice and soft. I wear these casually and to work! Although there is some extra room in the toe (that crinkles when I walk), I think these run true to size overall.

Heeled Sandals
I’m putting two types of heeled sandals in this post because I love them both, but if you want to choose just one, I say go for this braided pair. They’re the easiest to dress up and down. From a sizing standpoint, they run true to size. The toe strap is a little snug out of the box but stretches with wear. Fit notes on this dress – I love this dress, but it isn’t a perfect fit right from the store. I pinned the straps to make them shorter and it makes the length great on me (it’s floor length with flat sandals). It’s also a little roomy around the chest, but despite having to make a few small adjustments, I love it!

Clear Strap Sandals
I love that a clear strap sandal is neutral, but also just adds a little something to an outfit. This pair is true to size and like the pair above, the toe straps are a little bit snug on me and have an adjustment period. The jeans I’m wearing have tan stitching that you can’t see in my photo. I still like the jeans, but wanted to point that out because I couldn’t see it online and was a little bit surprised when I got them in the mail.

Chunky Slide Sandals
My most worn pair of sandals last summer is this pair! It surprised me that I ended up loving them as much as I do. I tend to shy away from chunky shoes in general, but there is something about them that just works. They’re comfortable and look great with shorts, jeans, and dresses. They’re true to size. If you prefer a slimmer shoes, I also love these slim slide sandals from Target. Another note on this outfit – the top is sheer, You’ll need a cami under it to not be see-through (you can cross the straps of a cami with a bra that has convertible straps).

Sneakers
I love sneakers in general and lately have really been loving on this pair of Converse. I love the way they look with shorts and dresses that are above the knee. If you want to wear a longer dress with sneakers I would go with a pair that shows your ankle, I love my Veja sneakers for that.

Of course, choose your shoes based on your personal style and what you’ll wear the most often, but I hope this post helps you find a pair you’ll love.
