Summer Dresses for Work
My Sizing: I’m 4’10” and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″ and 36″. My typical inseam is 24-25″. The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online.
Linen Blend Dress
What I love about this dress is it’s simple enough for work, but it will also work well worn casually. It’s a linen blend so it’s lightweight, but not thin and flimsy. It’s well lined so there is nice structure to the dress. It has functional buttons all the way down and the belt is removable. I’m wearing it in Petite 2 (a size up for me) and it fits me well overall (it is a little low in the armholes so you may want to wear a camisole with it).
Neutral Color Blocked Dress
This dress is very well made with a silky sewn in lining. I love the button details on the shoulders and at the waist and of course, the neutral color blocking. I sized up in this dress to Petite 2 and it fits well overall, but I think you could go for your true size in this.
Structured Midi Dress
If you have something important on your calendar, like a presentation or conference, this dress would be perfect. It is beautifully structured through the shoulders and has a beautiful notched collar and sleeves. I sized up in this dress to Petite 2 and still found it be slightly snug through the hips and sleeves on me (although the fabric does have some stretch to it). The belt comes with the dress and is removable.
