The J.Crew Factory sweater blazer is a reader favorite (a favorite of mine too). It’s been a popular item for many years and comes out in different colors each season. This year they brought out the schoolboy fit, which is a little bit shorter than the original sweater blazer, but still has the same slim fit. I wear this blazer in my true size, but it does run a little snug (and long) in the sleeves. If you want to do a lot of heavy layering with this one, you may want to go up one size.

Spring Sweater Blazer Four Ways
My Sizing: I’m 4’10” and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″ and 36″. My typical inseam is 24-25″. The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online.
With Black
An easy go-to outfit is an all-black base with your favorite top layer. In this case, it’s the sweater blazer, but other great options are a long cardigan and a traditional blazer. Fit notes for the top and pants – the pants are a little roomy through the legs, but I would still consider them to be true to size overall. They are full-length on me, hitting at the ankle. I’m wearing the top in Petite XXS and it’s a little bit snug around my wrists, you may want to go up a size in that one. The shoes are true to size.

With Jeans
A sweater blazer makes for a comfortable way to dress up a pair of jeans. The jeans I’m wearing in this outfit running low in stock, unfortunately. I love the jeans at J.Crew Factory, but they sell out quickly! As far as fit goes, they are rigid and loosen with wear. They are true to size, I disagree with the “runs large” on the site, they’re actually a little snug on me in my true size. The shoes are a pair I’ve had for a year now and wear often. They run 1/2 size large and have a breaking-in period. Once you break them in, they’re a great pair of shoes for wearing to work all day.

With White Jeans
I love the soft colors in this outfit! I chose my favorite pair of white jeans from Madewell, but I will also link another option from LOFT! My Madewell jeans run true to size and stretch some with wear, but they’re not one bit see-through.

With a Dress
I’m always keeping your requests and messages in mind. I recently had a message from an event planner who needed options with flats and dresses, so I thought of her when I put this one together! This particular dress also comes in navy for a more toned-down look. It’s so well-made and runs true to size! I’ll be styling it in multiple ways in an upcoming post.
