Today I’m sharing four ways to layer for fall with a Target dress that just keeps on giving. In my original post about this dress, I shared it was one of the few things I’ve found at Target that actually fits me. It’s also all around a great dress – it’s soft, thick, and holds up well in the wash. I have it in this striped version, but also in black. There are also several other color options to choose from!

With a Denim Jacket
T-shirt dresses were just made for sneakers if you ask me. They always look good together. I added a denim jacket and a roomy crossbody bag (also from Target) to complete this laid back look.

With a Chore Jacket
Classic preppy vibes are coming back big this fall and I’m really excited about it. I’m an East Coast preppy girl at heart so seeing things like riding boots, tailored blazers, quilted barn jackets, and, yes, chore jackets makes me happy. My exact jacket is from Madewell and has a very oversized fit. The waist has a drawstring to bring it in, but still expect a large fit with this one. I like the way it looks but you may want to size down. I also recently ordered a very similar chore jacket from Target to try the fit of – hoping for a good result!

With a Blazer
The thick knit of this dress makes it easy to dress up for work as well. I would go for flats instead of heels to match the more casual vibe of the dress.

With a Cardigan
This cardigan may be the most worn thing in my closet – maybe. I say that about a lot of things, but this staple is a light layer I reach for often. It fits me well in XS and it’s a great weight for late summer and early fall (thin and light). I’m wearing the color “oatmeal” for reference.
