I managed to take a full break from blogging last week without even meaning to. The weeks prior were constant running and rushing, mixed with a little stress and anxiety. By last week I was mentally drained, lacked all creativity and spent the little free time I had under a blanket on my couch. Sometimes you just have to let yourself reset, so I did.
This week, I’m back! Back to feeling like myself, back to blogging, and back to feeling like I can actually put words on a page.
Petite Pear Shape Friendly Booties
Last year I wrote about my pear shape and the rules I like to follow when getting dressed. In that post I shared that I didn’t wear booties, and I didn’t. However, that has since become a thing of the past. You see, at that time, and really up until a few weeks ago when I found this pair – every single pair of booties I tried on looked so bad on me. They weren’t flattering, they cut me off at the ankle making my hips look bigger, and I vowed to just give up on wearing booties.
Petite Friendly Jeans
Then fall rolled around and it had been a good year since I gave up on booties, so I decided to try again, and it was successful.
These booties have a flattering pointed toe that elongate my short legs, without a super high and uncomfortable heel. We’re past the days of being uncomfortable to look cute. So, they’re pretty great, but I also think a big difference in why I like the booties on me now, and didn’t before, is that I finally found petite friendly jeans that are flattering and hit at the ankle on me. All of my jeans were too long before, coming too close to the top of my shoes and making me look short and wide – so maybe it’s the shoes, or maybe it’s the jeans, but I’m a big fan now.
The Comfort Factor
These booties are not only cute, they’re incredibly comfortable – right out of the box. The leather is soft on the inside, so you can wear them comfortably without socks if you want to. Plus, the leather has a nice amount of give so they stretch with you. I wear them for hours without complaint. Just be sure to protect them with suede protector before wearing them! Also, Nordstrom’s website says they run small and to go up a 1/2 size, I personally did not size up and they fit great.
Shop The Post
This petite pear is reformed. It may have taken me years, but I’m finally on the bootie train. What about you, are you a fan of booties? (I think I may have been the only one who wasn’t!)
