It’s pink, it’s linen – it says hello spring (and summer too). This pink blazer, is not just perfect for me, it’s perfect for you too. No but seriously, I know this blazer will become another classic that I’ll love for years to come.
The Pink Blazer
There is a whole lot of pink going on in this post, the blazer, the tee, the wall …my skin. I blend right in, but it’s cool, pink happens to be one of my favorites. On my list of things I really want for spring and summer this year was a modern blush pink or white blazer. Y’all know how much I love a good blazer, they give structure to a pair of jeans, warmth in a cold office – and this particular blazer falls at just the right height to flatter my hips in a pair of white jeans.
J.Crew Factory Linen Blazer
I looked at several different options before settling on loving this blazer, and I’ll tell you what I didn’t quite like about the others. First, this one from Loft, was very oversized and quite frumpy on. Then there was this white blazer from J.Crew which was on the expensive side – and also backordered (not anymore) and I’m impatient. Should a good sale come through I may still circle back to it. I requested a pink blazer in a fix and was sent something that wasn’t a blazer at all, but some sort of knit jacket – it was a no.
Then magic happened, and J.Crew Factory released this pretty pink linen blazer.
The blazer doesn’t come in petite, but I happen to like the fit of my regular J.Crew Factory blazer over my petite blazer anyway – so I took a chance and ordered the 00. The result – a blazer with the perfect modern fit in the prettiest shade of pink.
Linen Laid Back Style
Because the jacket is linen, it’s nice and lightweight for spring and summer. However, that means it wrinkles. I don’t mind it, as linen has that wrinkled carefree feel – but if you’re someone who can’t stand a few wrinkles I would steer clear. Most of the wrinkling happens in the arms, where you move a lot. On the upside, the jacket is machine washable and irons well.
Shop The Post
Now that I’ve satisfied my need for a pink blazer, next on my list is a pair of espadrille wedges that have the perfect narrow toe, and actually fit my small feet (Soludos were a no go). Wish me luck!
What are you dreaming of for spring?
