I’ve had a pair of white shorts in my summer wardrobe every year, since high school. It’s always a must for me. I love white jeans, but I think I may love white shorts more.
They are the perfect compliment to the bright colors of summer! I found a really great pair at Old Navy. I seem to be finding a lot of great shorts at Old Navy lately. This pair has nude pockets so they aren’t see through at all, plus they have a petite friendly rise, and they aren’t crazy tight on your thighs. I love them.

When it comes to getting dressed in the summer, my style gets even simpler. I mean who wants to wear a lot of crazy layers in the heat? So, most of the outfits are a simple top with the shorts, but I love to mix up my outfits by finding tops with different details. Bring on the peplum hems, eyelets, and tie fronts.

I first styled this top with denim shorts on the blog, but I really love wearing it with white on the bottom. In addition to wearing it with these shorts, I’ve been wearing it with white jeans too – such a pretty combination! I threw on a denim jacket because I like the color combination, but obviously, this outfit is great without the extra layer if it’s too hot.

I think peplum tops are great. They’re comfortable, forgiving, and a fun take on a basic t-shirt. I found this one in particular at Francesca’s, and last I checked it wasn’t high in stock, but keep an eye out for the restocks! It also looks great with a denim jacket if you want an extra layer.

I didn’t expect to love this Old Navy top as much as I do. I LOVE it y’all. I think I want every color. I had to wait for a restock to grab my size (petite xs) but it’s worth keeping an eye on.
