A few years ago we were all running around during the winter with our ankles half exposed – freezing, but saying we were fine. We weren’t – I wasn’t. It was uncomfortable, but the times have changed. Although I’m all for wearing what you feel good in and what you may already have in your closet, the trends have shifted to full-length jeans. I’m still not fully embracing the ultra baggy and oversized look, I’ve spent my entire life struggling with everything being too big. But, I’m embracing the parts I like, like slim full-length jeans and long coats. I love that you can tuck warm tall socks and sneakers under a pair of full-length jeans. Even if the sneakers aren’t high top you can still wear tall socks with them and keep your ankles warm. Add a long coat and you’re going to be warm and ultra cozy.

Winter Outfits with Sneakers
My Sizing: I’m 4’10” and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″ and 36″. My typical inseam is 24-25″. The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. Abercrombie 90s’ Straight Jeans
Both pairs of jeans in this post are from Abercrombie. They’re the 90s’ Straight Jeans in Extra Short. They have a high rise, rigid denim that loosens with wear. I find them to be true to size overall.
Converse Sneakers
I find that this year I’m mostly wearing my Converse sneakers with jeans. (I like to wear some of the chunkier athletic styles with leggings). But when it comes to jeans I like the slim fit of the Converse sneakers and the way they tuck under the jeans. In the past, I’ve also styled Veja Campos sneakers and I love them as well – but I think they look best with a cropped pair of bottoms instead because they’re a little bit chunky. Adidas Sambas
I bought into the Adidas Samba trend. I couldn’t find them in my size for the longest time, but my 12-year-old introduced me to Stock X and I snagged a pair there. (They have since been restocked on the Adidas site). Overall they run 1/2 size large.
