I’m Pretty Much A Rockstar & Oh, Hey Girl! Link-Up

I feel like I pretty much have the most awkward body ever to shop for. I’m sure as you read this, you’re going, girrrrllll, me too!. That’s because we are all unique and that’s beautiful!

My fit dilemma, is I’m terribly short, like under 5 foot. But, I have the hips of a much taller girl, or so I like to tell myself. No matter how skinny I may be, the majority of any weight I carry is in my bottom. So, when it comes to finding a good pair of pants, they are either too long or too tight in the hips, but loose everywhere else, etc. etc.

I’ve tried on pants at nearly every store I can think of, including Old Navy. In the past, Old Navy’s pants ran too large for me and weren’t a possibility. However, Erica recently grabbed a pair of black denim from there and I loved them so much, I decided to give Old Navy another try. I ordered a pair of their Mid-Rise Rockstar Jeans in distressed black and I also ordered a pair of Mid-Rise Pixie Pants in Ankle. I ordered both online because well…we’ve talked about shopping with children. When that little package came in the mail…I was pleasantly surprised.

Old Navy Rockstar Pants

They both fit! Nearly perfectly. The Rockstar Jeans have a raw hem, so I think I just lucked out because it makes them a little shorter than their typical jeans, so they may be more of an ankle length on an average height girl, but for me they are perfect! Perfect in the hips, waist and length, the trifecta! Now, I feel like I basically have to dry clean my $20.00 Old Navy pants if I want to keep them from fading and falling apart, but that’s ok, I’m willing to do that, haha!

Old Navy Rockstar Pants

The other pair, the ankle Pixie Pants, were also perfect. I wore them here. They were also an ankle length, so probably intended to show a little more ankle than they do on me, but who’s watching!

So, for any other height/hip/thigh challenged girls out there like me, give Old Navy another try, you may be pleasantly surprised!

Old Navy’s Rockstar and Pixie pants are awesome! They stepped it up with these fits. I love ankle length because they can be a little on the shorter side or on the longer side and still work for a variety of heights. That pair looks amazing on you!

Hahaha I have the exact opposite problem. I’m 5 ft. 8 in. and when bell bottoms were popular, the used to be so short on me unless I got ones that came in long. Now with skinny jeans and boots, I’ve been able to avoid that for the last 5 years.

I really like these distressed jeans with the cozy sweater and plaid shirt! I own 2-3 pairs of ON Rockstar jeans because they fit so well. I also always try to go for ankle length so they look like normal jeans. πŸ™‚

Those jeans do fit you perfectly! Love them on you! Be careful when washing your Pixie Pants though. They can’t be thrown in the dryer or they shrink up! I made the mistake of washing them without reading the label first.

I struggle with jeans too because if they fit in the waist they’re usually too tight on the thigh. I tend to stick with Gap jeans although the sizing does vary a lot from style to style. I love this look – the green shirt is really nice.

It’s such a struggle to find the perfect pair! I should try Gap again, I tried them years ago and couldn’t find a good fit, but Old Navy did a turn around on me, so maybe Gap did too!

  33. 12.13.16

I need to try those!!! I saw them online and was thinking anything with sculpt built in has to be fabulous!

Not two pairs of Old Navy pants (same size, style, same exaxt pants even) fit/are made the same. I have both Pixies and Rockstars but I had to try on several pairs till the right ones. I need some black distressed jeans so these are perfect. Great casual Holiday look, Brooke!
