Crown and Ivy; a brand that is flirty, modern and bold. Southern preppy at its finest. A brand you may have been overlooking at your local Belk! We had a lot of fun this past weekend, playing dress up with Crown and Ivy and thought it would be fun to share with all of you, just what we thought!

Hang on, it’s going to be a fun ride:

Crown and Ivy at Belk!

The first thing I tried on was a pair of Ponte Leggings and pretty much became obsessed, so for the remainder of my try ons, I rocked the Ponte Leggings! I also tried on the Solid Cowl Neck Sweater and loved it! The Cowl Neck Sweater was soft and the perfect length for leggings!

Next I tried on a Cross Back 2-Fer Sweater with a little more pop! This sweater has a pleated polka dot back detail, which I loved (but didn’t picture, why?!). I also loved the gold button details on the sleeve.

Then I tried on a Polka Dot sweater that had a little two tone action going on. I loved it too! This shopping experience was making it tough to make decisions.

Then I tried on a Jersey Lace Peplum top in navy. I loved this top and originally tried it on in regular size and was sad because it was just a little too wide for my frame. That’s when Erica mentioned I should see if it came in petite and it did!

Both of us rocking the Jersey Lace Peplum, it’s fun that it fits both of us, despite our vast size difference, yay for extended sizes!

Then I tried on this oh so fun elephant print vest. The vest fit great and had button tab sides, which give the vest a little more shape, so you can be warm and not boxy.

Last but not least, I tried on a 3/4 Ruffle Neck Knit Top. Now, don’t let my fitting room experience throw you off, this top is not intended to be tunic length, but I tried on a regular size, when I should have picked up a petite! But, I did love this top, it was so soft and swingy and honestly, I loved that it was a little longer on me.

So what did I choose?

Crown and Ivy at Belk

I just had to come home with a pair of the Ponte Leggings and this lace detail sweater! I felt so cute, yet so so comfortable.

I also took home the Jersey Lace Peplum Top, which also looked great with the Ponte Leggings! I could totally see wearing this to work.

One of the first items that caught my eye when we rolled into Belk was this Stripe Bow Intarsia Sweater. I loved the bright green and thought this would be adorable to wear during the holiday season. Lately, I’ve been into the look of fitted sweaters tucked under high waisted skirts so I just had to try it with this super cute Geo Jacquard Skirt. I thought the pattern of the skirt coordinated perfectly with the sweater. I was so tempted to stop here but I had too many other cute items to try on! Plus having a little one to chase around all day, I knew I would get more wear out of pants than a skirt.

img_6726Right out of the gate I found this super comfy pair of Straight Leg Denim Jeans that fit great, so from that point on it was all about trying to find the perfect top to go with it!  The bright pop of red that this Crochet Peplum Blouse provided was definitely what grabbed my attention from the get-go. That along with the cute peplum detail (you know I love a good peplum!) and relaxed fit made this top comfortable while also leaving me feeling like a hot tamale all at the same time.

img_6728How cute is this Printed Ponte Top? I just loved the fit and the checker style had me swooning.

img_6732I think what I loved most about this Side Button Sweater was, well…the side buttons! How fun are they?!  I don’t have anything like this in my wardrobe so I gave this sweater some serious consideration.

img_6743I grabbed this High Neck Lurex Dot Shirt to try on because of the cute gold details and boho style.  Once I tried it on I found myself also quite fond of the ruffled high neck feature and the loop buttons.

img_6747This Festive Gingham Shirt almost ended up coming home with me. I’m talking basically I was debating all the way up to the checkout counter but when making my final decision, I decided that I would be better served opting for one of my warmer favorites with the upcoming winter months.

So what did I end up leaving with?

crownivyAs soon as I tried on this Cowl Neck Colorblock Sweater I knew it was going to be hard to beat. I loved the soft material and the fit but what really sealed the deal was the block of white on the back.  And of course, you know I had to snag those jeans!

crownivy3The other sweater I just had to have was this Low Side Slit Sweater.  Not only am I crazy about the pretty bright blue color, but the deep slits up the sides are what what did it for me.  I’ve actually had this style of sweater on my mind lately, so talk about being meant to be…
