Y’all, this dress is gingham AND off the shoulder. To me, that’s perfection! I literally have no idea where I’m going to wear it, being that I stay home all but one day of the week with my boys, so most days I’m in a pair of jeans. But, when I saw it during the Banana Republic friends and family sale, I was like oooooo, I have to have it! (you know, like the State Farm commercial ;))
Something else I own that I rarely wear, are these shoes. I bought them a couple of years ago for a trip to Vegas. The bows, they got me. But oh my gracious, they are uncomfortable! They’re really tall, so it’s like walking on your tip toes. Gorgeous, but brutal. I’ve also worn them here.
So, here I am in my outfit that I will only pull out on special occasions. But on those occasions, I’m going to look darn fabulous, heyyy.

Oh I can see why you had to have that dress! It’s so ncie with the bow on your shoes and the bow tied in the back too 🙂 It’s good to have a few more dressy options in your wardrobe even if you don’t wear them often, a special occasion wouldn’t be special if you had it every day! 🙂

This is so fabulous! And if I were you, I would just wear that dress anyway! Maybe pair it with some adorable white sneakers for doing mom stuff! As for those gorgeous shoes, try a pair of gel inserts…they may make them a little bit more wearable! Those are gorgeous shoes! I have a long story I could tell you about wearing uncomfortable tall heels to Vegas….quite a funny story when I look back on it now, but it was quite embarrassing at the time. Cute dress too!

As for the shoes, I read a post once where a cobbler was able to shorten the heel of a shoe slightly—that could be an idea, if that would make them more wearable??

It is fun! Makes those special occasions so exciting! I used to struggle so much with strapless bras, when I actually had a little something up top, when I was nursing. But, now, I’m not well endowed at all, so strapless works well for me! lol

A few years ago my hubby gifted me some Badgley Mischka pumps that I’ve only worn once because I’m too afraid to ruin them and I love them!
