Although I’ve been a simple iced coffee drinker for years now, the other day when I was in Wal-Mart picking up my almond milk, I spotted something magical at the very tip top of the shelf, Silk® Almond Creamer, in vanilla and caramel.
I immediately had a flashback of my caramel frapp favorite and thought it would be fun to recreate the recipe, in a clean and better for you way! So I climbed that shelf and grabbed both flavors to try.
I started by grabbing my blender and putting about 2 cups of ice cubs in the bottom.
Then I poured 1 cup of chilled coffee into the blender.
Next, I added 1/4 cup of Silk® Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk to my blender.
Then, I added 2 tablespoons of Silk® Caramel Almond Creamer. I was totally lazy here and just filled my 1/4 cup measure halfway, instead of pulling out my tablespoon measure.
Next, the sweetness! I added 1 dropper full of liquid stevia to my batch. You can adjust this to your taste, keep in mind that stevia goes a long way and can be bitter if you add too much.
Then blend, blend, blend. If you have a better blender than me, yours will probably be smoother, but I’m working with this ten year old cutie here.
The final step, I topped mine with pre-made dairy free whipped topping.
I was really happy with how it turned out. It melted pretty quickly, but it had all of that delicious frappuccino flavor that I remembered and I didn’t have to feel guilty about it! Silk® Almond Creamer is dairy free, with no cholesterol or saturated fats and is free of artificial ingredients and colors. My frappuccino creation came out to around 35 calories. (50 if you add the whipped topping.) This recipe would also be great just over ice, for your everyday coffee.

Yum! I definitely have to start blending my coffee. #client
That looks so good, and it’s definitely something I need to try. I am a cream and sugar kind of girl, and I’m always thinking how I probably add a ridiculous amount of calories to my coffee every day. I’ve never had much stevia, but if I’m going to try it this sounds like the way to go!
I really like stevia, but it can have a funny taste if you add to much, so be careful! 🙂
🙂 It’s fun every now and then!
Thank you!
Almond milk is my favorite non dairy milk!
