As I write this, I’m sitting on a balcony, watching the waves hit the sand. I can’t think of a better place to blog. All week long, I’ve been building sand castles, starting every morning with a Starbucks iced coffee and eating a diet that consists of mostly carbs and maple syrup. That vacay life.

Even though I may not be watching what I eat while I’m on vacation, one thing I haven’t been slacking on is my skincare routine. I can run off an extra vacation pound, but I can’t erase the effects of not caring for my skin! But don’t worry, I’m about to tell you just how I keep my summer skin fresh and trust me it’s easy.

When it comes to my skincare, especially during the summer when life gets busy and fun, I like to keep it simple;cleanse, exfoliate, moisturize and protect. Before I went on vacation, I stopped at Target and picked up a few Neutrogena® products to keep my summer skin healthy and make my beach skincare routine easy and on point.

 Let’s get into it, my summer skincare routine:

Morning Cleanse & Exfoliate 

Morning and night, I cleanse my skin. You just have to! Typically in my morning shower, I will use the Pink Grapefruit Scrub to exfoliate and brighten my skin. I love the fresh scent of the Pink Grapefruit formula. Plus, it is full of Vitamin C and salicylic acid to fight breakouts. I’m not typically an acne prone person, but during the summer months when I sweat more and spend more time outdoors, I tend to breakout more often. So I like using a formula that keeps breakouts at bay.

Morning Moisturize & Protect

After cleansing I use the Oil-Free Moisture Lotion to moisturize and protect. I love how light and fresh this moisturizer is, plus it gives me daily SPF protection. I use it under my make-up, which also has SPF in it. Gone are the days of my youth where I took my smooth skin for granted and baked it in the sun. I’m all about protection these days!

Evening Cleanse

After a day of fun, whether I’m at the beach of just playing at home with the boys, I like to cleanse, but make it quick. When I was younger I used to skip my nightly cleanse all together because I would get tired and lazy. Now, older and wiser, I know how important it is to clean away the day’s dirt and make-up. Since, I’m still a little lazy, I love to use a wipe in the evening. I can grab one and sit in bed if I want to. Neutrogena’s Pink Grapefruit Wipes smell fresh just like the scrub and are oil free, leaving my skin fresh and free of residue.

Evening Moisturize

 After I wipe my face clean , I put another dab of Neutrogena’s Oil-Free Moisture Lotion on to rehydrate my skin. While I don’t need the SPF protection at night, I still love the light and fresh formula and use it twice a day.
