I hate to admit it, but I upgraded my phone a few months ago, for blog picture taking purposes only. The iPhone 8 + is supposed to have a really awesome camera, so I thought oh, this will be great – maybe I’ll get good pictures straight from my phone. Let me tell you, not the case for me. I don’t know what sort of magic other people can work with their iPhones, but my pictures are always grainy! So, was it a worthy upgrade? That’s up for debate. I like the bigger screen, there’s that. So, today I have for you, grainy photos courtesy of my iPhone and a handful of casual outfits I’ve been wearing lately. I had every intention of capturing more of my work attire this month, but let’s be honest, it’s a challenge for me to just make it to work on time after the 1.5 hour long drop off of kids/commute/necessary Stabucks run, in the morning.
Y’all can say hi to Cha in the background of this one. He’s feeling depressed with his diaper on, because he’s naughty and can’t be trusted without a diaper when I leave the house.

I wore this outfit out and about for one of these late summer/ wish it was fall days. You may recognize the top from this post, and how horribly it highlighted my hips. However, I love it with shorts, and jeans – just not those orange pants. I’m also hoping that shorts season is pretty much over, but that may be wishful thinking.

Want to know one of the highlights of most of my days? My Starbucks run. I’m shameful, but I get me an iced coffee most days. It’s an addiction I don’t feel bad about. I wore this top in this post, two ways. It’s one of those tops that looks great dressed up, and dressed down. I like how it gives a simple outfit a little something.

This top is older (I linked a similar), but the jeans, (the shades I decided to wear indoors), shoes, and belt are all recent purchases. I raved about the shoes here, but I don’t think I’ve told you about these jeans just yet. They’re from LOFT, y’all know I love the curvy fit jeans from LOFT. These jeans also have slimming pockets, which I love! I only wish someone would make jeans that solve the issue of the gaping at the zipper. I’ve yet to find a pair that don’t do this on me.

Last but certainly not least, the umbrella dress. You may remember from this post, that my husband lovingly named this dress. This particular weekend I was so tired and run down, and this dress felt perfect! So roomy and comfortable.
Maybe next month I’ll actually succeed at taking a few pictures before work, but there’s no promises. What I will promise, is next month is going to be more fall, and a little less summer. The temps are starting to bob and weave, today is supposed to be in the 60s, let me go ahead and break out my sweaters!
What have you been wearing lately?
