There was once a time when online ordering didn’t exist, and this small town girl was only aware of a handful of brands and stores. If you couldn’t get what you were looking for at the GAP or Macy’s, you just weren’t going to get it. I did a lot of settling in those days – but then things changed, and this gals eyes were opened to a whole world of shopping opportunities.
Online shopping became a thing, and fashion blogs became a thing. I think it was right around 2006 when I started to read blogs. It was less uppity, more real, and highly addicting in those days. I had my favorite bloggers saved in Google Reader (RIP) and spent my free time taking in everything they had to say. My absolute favorite part about blogs – being introduced to brands and stores that I didn’t know existed. One brand in particular I remember being wowed by, was ASOS.
A Great Place to Buy Petite Dresses
The very first thing I ordered from ASOS was a one shoulder purple dress to wear to the club. Y’all, the club, makes me laugh just typing it. It was in the days of buying a cheap new outfit nearly every weekend, and when this petite gal found a website that she could order affordable dresses that actually fit me, oh I was excited.
The love started there, but it didn’t stop. ASOS went with me through the years, becoming a go-to for maternity dresses during my pregnancies, and now into my, I just want to be comfortable phase. My most recent purchase, is this oh-so-comfortable, olive green dress, that my husband lovingly refers to as “the umbrella dress.” Yes, the dress is a little roomy, but I still love it just the same. I just have to make sure whatever shoes I wear with it, elongate my legs!
I appreciate a lot of things about ASOS, but what makes them one of my favorites, is their variety. You can buy a full blown formal dress (even bridesmaids dresses), to a cotton, casual, umbrella dress. They also offer a wide range of sizing, from petite, to plus, and maternity. I’m talking about dresses here, but ASOS sells everything! When I order from ASOS, I know my order will arrive fast, like within a few days, sometimes even the very next day! I know the returns are easy, my order is always affordable, and I almost always like what I order. Wins all around!
