Tunic sweaters are like a gift that keeps on giving. They’re warm, cozy, long enough to wear with leggings (or a pair of white denim that does little to hide what’s underneath), and they can conceal a food baby from a heavy Mexican dinner. The tunic sweater, like your best friend, is like no matter what situation, I got you girl. Come fall and winter, a tunic sweater is one of my favorite things to wear! Especially on a cold morning before work, when I’m tired, and just want to be warm and comfortable – I love grabbing a tunic sweater.
Tunic Sweaters Under $50
For me, the length is the most appealing thing about a tunic sweater. However, like most things I have a few standards I keep in mind when I make a purchase. One, I have a pretty standard price point – if the sweater isn’t under $50, I’m not buying it. I’ll hold out for a sale, or just find a close substitute. Second, I try to pay close attention to what the sweater is made out of. I can’t stand when a sweater pills, it’s one of my biggest pet peeves! Even at under $50, sweaters can be a little pricy, and if you only get a few wears out of something before it pills and looks a mess, that’s totally frustrating. Finally, the tunic sweater has to be a loose enough fit to be comfortable, but a close enough fit to not overwhelm my small frame.

The sweater I’m wearing in this post fits every one of my standards, and has also stood the test of time. I’ve owned this sweater for about two years now, worn it countless times, and it still looks like new! Since this sweater is a few years old, I can’t link to it exactly. However, LOFT makes a near identical one that is made from the same fabric, so you’re likely to get the same great quality and fit out of this one.

Some of these sweater are over $50 full price, but you just have to hold out for the sale! I’m telling you girl, never pay full price!

At the moment, I’m gearing up for Thanksgiving and Black Friday. Making sure I have what I need for my recipes, and marking things down that I want to pick up on Black Friday. If you’ve read my blog over the years, you know how much my friends and I love Black Friday – this year we bought matching shirts! Just taking the crazy level up a notch. While I mostly shop for others on Black Friday, you can bet if I cross by a good tunic sweater on sale, it will be coming with me.
