Ever since I came to know that Madewell was the place to buy petite jeans that actually fit, I’ve become a little obsessed with it. However, I’m not obsessed with their prices. Spending $100 on a pair of jeans isn’t crazy unheard of, but spending $70 on a shirt, to me, is. Yes, their quality is like no other and if you invest in their pieces, you’re going to have them for years, but that’s just not in my budget. So, what’s a girl to do?
Wait for those sales! Seems like an obvious answer, but hear me out. Along with the sales and coupons that Madewell offers throughout the year, there are also a few big sales that you should look out for.
How To Shop Madewell At A Discount
Sign Up As An Insider
Madewell Insiders get free shipping, free returns, free personalization – and the best part, the emails that let you know about discounts and sales! Without sounding too fancy, becoming an insider is as simple as giving your email address. The more you spend throughout the year, the more benefits you’re eligible for, but I wouldn’t know about those, just the insider status over here.
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
Madewell is sold through Nordstrom, and certain items will go on sale during the highly anticipated Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. This year I picked up the Remi Mules I’m wearing in this post, and also ordered a few pairs of jeans. The jeans ultimately were too big for me since they are not offered in petite through Nordstrom, but it’s a great option for someone who doesn’t need petite. This year the sale also had several sweaters that caught my eye and one of their classic totes.
Shopbop Biannual Sales
The Shopbop sales come through twice a year, typically fall and spring, and are almost as good as the Nordstorm Sale. Instead of certain items being on sale, they offer a spend more, save more model. Some brands are excluded from the sale, but Madewell is often part of it! Another great time to get current pieces at a discount.
End of Season Sales
Madewell pieces are simple and classic, so taking advantage of their end-of-season sales is a great way to invest in a classic closet staple, without spending a lot. Recently (I hate to tell you, it’s already over) they had a big extra 40% off sale. I picked up several of their classic tees, the white popover shirt you see in this post and a pair of jeans at nearly 60% off original prices.
Shop The Post
I will very rarely buy things full price. I love the hunt of a good sale, what about you?
