Finding a pair of jeans with open knees, that actually hit at your knees – is a miracle for a petite gal. I found this pair at American Eagle recently and just knew I had to style them multiple ways for you.
They’re a great find if you love the look of distressed knees, but I’ve also had several requests in general to see black jeans styled multiple ways. If you’re not a fan of distressed black jeans, don’t worry – I’ll style a non-distressed pair as well.
Six Ways to Wear Black Jeans
With a Cropped Top
I don’t wear a ton of cropped tops, but this one was just too cute to pass up. It’s perfect with the higher rise of these jeans. I love the brown/orange tone of it, and think it will be great going into the fall. Of course, if I’m going to wear something black and orange together, I’m going to put leopard shoes with it.

With a Peplum Top
This top is a great Amazon find that I just may need multiple colors of! It has a comfortable and relaxed fit that not only looks great with these jeans, it also looks great with shorts.

With a Denim Jacket
Just like white jeans, black jeans look really great with a denim jacket. I’m wearing sandals for summer, but you could swap the sandals for booties in the fall.

With Heels
The jeans are distressed, so they can only be dressed up but so much. However, I like the juxtaposition of distressed jeans mixed with heels and a dressier top. I wore this top first in my post about mom jeans, but I wore it fully tucked in. I hope this outfit shows that the top isn’t too cropped to be worn untucked.

With a Printed Top
Same idea as above, except this top is loose and light, and worn untucked. I would also love this look in the fall with booties, it would give a cute boho vibe.

With a T-Shirt and Sandals
I added a little something to this simple outfit with the sweatshirt tied around my waist. Of course, I think it would be just fine without it! In the fall, throw that sweatshirt on with a pair of cute white tennis shoes and you’re good to go.

Be sure to catch this style session on IGtv, and let me know what you want to see styled next! I’m in the midst of a crazy busy season, with work, blogging – and now virtual school for my two boys, I’m feeling a little brain dead. So, I can use all of the inspiration I can get!
