Casual Dinner
I can’t be the only one that prefers to wear pants to dinner, even in the summer. I’m always freezing in the A/C, so unless we’re hitting up a patio, I’m wearing pants. I wore this exact outfit just last week for Mexican with my boys. I love the embroidery on this top and also love that it’s fully lined. I’m wearing it in XXS and it fits me well. I like to balance the full, flowy fit with something slim on the bottom, like my skinny jeans (still a fan)!

Beach
I’ve been searching all season for a pair of wide-leg pants I liked. Every pair I tried was either too long, too short, a weird fabric (like scrub pants), or itchy. This pair from the Dede x Emily collab with Abercrombie is perfect! They’re longer on me than intended, but I really like the length. They just graze the ground in my sandals and the fabric is comfortable and forgiving. There is a matching crop top that goes with them if that’s your style, but I just can’t get on that trend. Looks great, but it’s highly uncomfortable to me, so I paired them with a simple white top with a slim fit.

Amusement Park
We went to Disney earlier this year and if it was warmer, I would have totally worn this outfit (maybe added some Mickey ears). I didn’t wear the dress, but I did wear the sneakers and they were great for walking all day long. If it’s more comfortable for you, you can also add bike shorts under the dress.

Summer BBQ
My friends and I get together a lot during the summer. We share meals, watch the kids run around outside, and sit around a fire when the sun goes down. I’ll often wear a simple summer dress, but if it’s a little cooler out (it sometimes is in the evening) I’ll opt for a pair of jeans. This white pair still says summer and looks a little dressier than a jean pair. If you want to be more casual I would skip the white (plus you don’t have to worry about getting dirty)!
