How These Two Moms Got Their Style Back With Amopé

I saw a t-shirt the other day that read, “Chasing toddlers is my cardio.” Oh, how true of a statement. While I didn’t buy the shirt, I couldn’t agree more. Never in my life have I been more active and on the go than I am now with two small children.

I’m chasing my nearly five year old through the mall, while keeping my one year old from eating darn near everything he encounters; it’s basically an everyday circus.

Even a trip to the grocery store involves full blown cardio moves. Most days I’m tempted to grab my tennis shoes. The fashionable side of me tears up at the thought, so I spend my days in a cute pair of flats. But let’s be honest, even flats can be uncomfortable. Sometimes by the end of the day, my feet ache from the lack of support my cutie pie flats have to offer, and I can’t bear the thought of chasing my littles a step further.

But thanks to #Amopé, the achy feet days are no more. During a recent Target shopping trip (because what mom doesn’t shop at Target at least once a week) I used my cartwheel app to score a pair of Amopé Gel Activ™ Flat Shoes Insoles for 5% off, and because I’m the best sister-in-law ever, I grabbed a pair for Erica to try as well! Since the insoles are made of a sticky material that can be transferred from shoe to shoe I figured I could use them in another pair of shoes as well.

I’ve tried insoles before and most of them were used to give my shoe a tighter fit, not for comfort. The Amopé Gel Activ Insoles are made of a super concentrated gel, which makes them 25% thinner than other insoles, so in this case, these insoles were used for pure comfort, without the crowding effect!

I positioned the insoles in my flats, for added support in the heel of my shoe. The insoles come in four different varieties, based on the kind of shoes you want to wear and can be positioned differently, depending on where the pressure points are in your shoe. To give them the true test, I wore them out to a playdate.

The verdict — Amopé Gel Activ Insoles gave me the support I needed to keep me cute and running all day! They stayed put the entire day and didn’t crowd my feet. I can honestly say that instead of begging my husband for a foot rub at the end of the day, I was good to go! I can’t wait to try some of the other Amopé varieties, like the Everyday Heels, for some of my beautiful heels that have been sitting in my closet just dying to be worn!

With a little crawler in my life, 90% of my waking hours are spent on my feet. When I’m not chasing baby girl around at home or on play dates, I’m food prepping or knocking things off of my to-do my list. Even blog work is done standing up as I keep my computer high up on a dresser out of harm’s way. I tend to put a lot of weight into my heels when I stand and, unfortunately, I don’t exactly walk too lightly which means a lot of impact on my poor feet.
