I hear you – petite clothes can often be expensive. While it’s a little harder to find a great fit at some of the less expensive brands, it’s not impossible. It takes a little hunting but I often find budget and petite-friendly items at Walmart, Target, Amazon, and Old Navy. Today I’m sharing three outfit ideas for work with these under $50 items.

Budget-Friendly Outfits for Work
Pleated Skirt
This pleated skirt is the best thing I’ve found on Amazon. It holds up well, doesn’t wrinkle easily, and comes in many different colors. Plus, it has a great fit. It’s something I’ve shared many times on my blog over the years. I paired it with a deep gold top I found at Old Navy. Old Navy has a good petite selection overall and is a great place to check for budget options. They tend to sell out quickly so it’s harder for me to style their pieces on my blog (they’ll be sold out by the time I post).

Oversized Blazer
I ordered this blazer from Walmart expecting to return it if I’m honest, but I felt like it was worth a shot. I was pleasantly surprised to find it’s great quality and also has a fit that works for petites. It is oversized in XS on me and I need to wear the sleeves pushed back. But for under $50 it’s an on-trend and versatile piece for petites. I paired it with Old Navy Pixie pants. The ankle length is full-length on me (the full-length options are too long) but they’re true to size otherwise.

Sweater Dress
I first styled this Target dress in this neutral outfits for work post. I can’t recommend it enough, it checks all the boxes for fit and quality. I layered it with a sweater vest by belting the bottom of the vest. It is true to size.

The shoes in the post aren’t a budget option, but they’re comfortable and are both pairs that will last in your wardrobe for years. If you’re looking for less expensive options, Target is a great place to check. They start at a size 5 online.
