Four Ways to Wear a Light Denim Jacket

I have a deep love for denim jackets – it goes all the way back to high school. For years, I’m talking maybe 10 years, I had the same jacket and wore it over and over again. It was a medium blue jacket and I eventually replaced it with an identical twin.

Oh, but then I spotted this light, distressed denim jacket. Of course, I had to have it. My classic denim jacket still holds a firm place in my closet, but I appreciate the distressing and the light, bright wash of this jacket. So much so, that I find myself wearing it more than my mid-blue version these days.

When I was asked to style this light denim jacket multiple ways, I was more than happy to do so! Truth is, I wear this jacket so often, I have to remind myself not to wear it over and over again on the blog.

With White Denim

The first category includes two, because I love to wear this jacket with white denim. I wanted to show how it can be worn with a peplum hem top and a tee untucked. It’s also great with the tee tucked in, however I chose to keep it untucked because it looks a little bit more slimming on me. When I tuck in my tee, it cuts the jacket and tee right at my hips and makes them look a bit heavier and unbalanced in my opinion.

I love to wear a denim jacket with skirts and dresses! It’s one of my favorite spring toppers. I chose to wear a slip under this skirt because in my opinion, it’s sheer. I loved the fit of the skirt, so I felt it was warranted to just fix the sheerness with a little layer underneath! I’ve linked both above.

I think a pair of colored shorts or white shorts look great with a denim jacket. Perfect for throwing on for a cooler spring day or a summer night! Notes on these shorts, they’re so comfortable!
