Accessorizing has never been my strong suit. I love the look of cute headbands, and earrings and layered necklaces – but for me, the simpler, the better.
For years I’ve used Rocksbox as a way to try on and shop for new jewelry. Rocksbox is a subscription service. You get a box of three items to try and wear for however long you want. Then you keep what you love, and return what you don’t love. The items are discounted and your subscription fee goes toward any purchases. This is how I’ve found nearly all of my jewelry over the years, plus it’s fun to be able to wear some pieces that I wouldn’t want to invest in fully, but may just want to wear with an outfit or two.
The big bold items I tend to just wear for a bit and return, but the things I purchase and wear the most all have the same theme – they’re simple, versatile, and gold.

Earrings are the jewelry I wear most often. Sometimes I throw on a necklace or a bracelet, but earrings are a daily thing. I gravitate toward simple gold hoop styles and drop earrings with a neutral stone like white or gray. However, I will sometimes wear a simple stud that fits similar criteria, neutral and gold.
You’ll find that most all of my jewelry that I buy and keep from my Rocksbox is Kendra Scott – it’s my all time favorite! I have sensitive ears and they’ve never bothered me one bit.

Go-To Necklaces
When it comes to a necklace, the simpler the better. I really like the look of layering delicate gold necklaces. I purchased this necklace a few months ago and I wear it with almost every outfit. It has the look of a layered necklace in one.
I also love the close cousin to this necklace that has the druzy stone without the layers.

I could list out bracelets and rings, but to be honest, I tend to just wear earrings and necklaces and would consider them my true go-to items. My love of Kendra Scott keeps me buying the neutral pieces that I know I’ll wear over and over again. I save the bold jewelry for less expensive options and for temporary love from my Rocksbox subscription!
