Hair Tips: New Products and Methods

Today’s post is a mix of methods and tools I’ve picked up from Pinterest, my hair dresser and a chance last minute purchase. Surprisingly so awesome, I had to share!

hairtoolsandtips

1. Who else is guilty of having a Pinterest board full of hairstyles and tips and never actually doing any of them? This basically sums it up for me. Not that I don’t try, I do, but for some reason the braiding force isn’t strong with me. However, recently I stumbled upon a pin so simple, so genius I couldn’t believe I hadn’t thought of it before. I will never curl my hair the same again.

The easiest hair curling method ever that will leave your curls intact all day and your hair full and bouncy, I’m serious!

2. Redken Velvet Gelatine is the best blow dry gel I’ve ever encountered. At my last hair appointment, my hairdresser asked if I was using a heat protectant when I blow dry my hair. I sheepishly answered no, basically because I’m clueless when it comes to many hair products. She went on to scoff in disbelief that I was opening my hair up to so much damage and recommended I give the Redken Gelatin a try. Let me tell you, this stuff makes the world of difference. With just a dime sized drop, my hair is silky, smells amazing and stays bouncy all day!

3. This last tool tip is basically a happy accident. This past summer we went to Las Vegas where I foolishly left my curling iron at home. I’m typically a die hard Hot Tools fan, but in Vegas, everything is nearly triple it’s typical price so I opted for a cheap Conair iron to get me through the trip. Let’s just say I was pleasantly surprised with this iron and find myself using it exclusively at home over my hot tools iron. Erica has the same iron that she’s had for like ten years. Now that’s not with excessive use or anything but I was totally shocked when she told me that! So, if you’re looking for a great tool with a great price tag, I recommend giving this good ol iron a try!!

Now go spend some free time this weekend and give one of these a try!

Have the best day!

Conair has really quality products for their price! I had a flat iron I used for a few years and preferred it over my chi!
