Four Ways to Wear Joggers

You girls love joggers. I’ve had many requests to style them, and last week when the petite friendly pair I found made its way into a style session, they were the top seller for the week.

Joggers aren’t something I immediately wanted to try. The style tends to make you look a little bit heavier on the bottom, especially if they aren’t the right length. You want to show a little ankle in joggers and it felt like a losing battle to find a pair that wasn’t too long for me. But, because of the numerous requests, I made it a point to keep looking for a winning pair for petites.

I found a pair at Nordstrom, that is petite friendly and they come in multiple colors and prints! This pair is linen so the fabric does wrinkle, but it also means they’re nice and light for summer. I’m wearing them in petite xxs and they were tight on my hips at first, but they fully stretch out, so no need to size up.

Most of these outfits are similar, I’m wearing a white top with the joggers and swapped out the jackets and shoes to show how just a little change can make for a different outfit. I hope it helps you get more out of what you have in your closet!

With Sandals

Have I mentioned how much I love these sandals? I did, and I’ll tell ya’ again – these are pretty. I love how much they dress up just about anything, joggers included. This outfit is simple, and pretty much my uniform of sorts, t-shirt, denim jacket, call it a day.

With Leopard

I’ve been wearing this shirt a lot lately, on the blog and at home. Its leopard print is really versatile and the shirt in general is just great quality. It washes and dries wrinkle free, always just waiting for me to put it on. I pulled out a pair of classic miller sandals for this one and a denim jacket in a lighter wash, but I think it would also look great with the same jacket and shoes as above.

With Wedges

Joggers are fun to dress up and down. They’re casual but with a pair of wedges or heels, they can maybe even be worn to work. This outfit isn’t in the style video, so consider it a blog bonus (and a fifth outfit). It’s not in the video because my cat knocked the tripod during filming and it was shake city.

With Sneakers

I put these sneakers on the other day and Steven says, “how many pairs of white sneakers do you have?!” More than one, let’s just say that. BUT although I have another pair of all white sneakers, this pair is a different style and they go with different outfits. So, there’s that. You could argue this outfit is pretty much the same as a denim jacket and sandals, but the chambray top and sneakers instead makes it a little more relaxed to me.

So I recycled this outfit, but for a good reason. It shows how beautifully you can dress up a a pair of joggers. I would totally wear this to work and be in comfortable bliss the entire day.

So the joggers have grown on me, and I’m glad I found this petite friendly pair. Remember, I’m 4’10”, so if you’re petite at 5’2″ these pants will be even more flattering on you. Be sure to catch the style session on IGtv and let me know what you want to see next!
