Now, let me tell you about the wedding. The term all dressed up and no where to go pretty much sums it up. We left a good 1.5 hours before the start of the wedding to be sure to get there on time, the drive time was about 40 minutes or so. Well, halfway into the trip, Maddox cries the pee pee dance from the back seat. So, off the interstate we go for a potty break. We made the mistake of stopping at Starbucks, on a Saturday morning, for this potty break. Yeah, that ended up taking a good 25 minutes once we battled that crowd. Back on the road, we find the interstate is at a complete standstill, so off we go to the surface roads to an alternate route. We find a route and about halfway down that we encounter a closed road and detour, which added another 10 minutes or so to the trip. Needless to say, we arrived after the ceremony began. To avoid being rude and possibly causing quite the interruption totting our toddler into their ceremony in progress, we hung around outside the church until the ceremony was over. We were on a tight schedule that day with our nephew’s birthday party to attend too, so we were only able to stay at the reception roughly 30 minutes. I swear the day was like one of those movies where everything just seems to keep going wrong along a trip!
But, all that mattered was that their day was special, the bride was beautiful and their happily ever after began whether or not we got to see the ceremony! The other plus, I had a reason to add this beautiful dress to my closet!

It’s always so frustrating when things like that happen! You plan and think everything is taken care of then one by one things start to go wrong. You look amazing in that dress though! It fits like it was made for you!
Oh man, what a bummer of a day! I hate it when things like that happen because it wasn’t in my plan! LOL On the plus side, you look amazing. I love the sleeves on the dress.

The Lauren Conrad collection is definitely my favorite one at Kohls! All the pieces are so pretty and girly. This dress looks beautiful on you. Sorry you had such a rough time getting to the wedding.. I hate days like that when events seem to overlap and I can’t get anywhere on time. I can’t imagine doing it with a toddler! Glad you made it there, though. And you look gorgeous!!
